2008 Club car pres. Controller info

A friend of mine bought a 2008 club car pres. He got it at a fair price because it would not run and the owner said he did not know what was wrong with it. He took it to a club car guy. He has trouble shot it and found out it is the controller.

Does anybody have an idea on a price of a controller or what's available to buy.

Alltrax XCT is the best choice performance wise. Available in 300, 400, and 500 amp models. Pricing starts at $400. You might also find a stock take off controller here in the want ads

Scotty. This guy will only be using this cart for golfing. We do have hills on the course we play. So torque is important too. He does not want to crawl up them but it doesn't need to fly up it either. What would you suggest? 400?

The XCT300 is perfect for your application. It will give you more torque and speed compared to the stock controller. With the 300, you won't have to upgrade the solenoid or the cables to use it. With the 400, you'd need to upgrade both.
