Where to find dead EZGO charger (or just the cable)
Hello all,
I am looking for the triangle plug in from a bad EZGO charger. Trouble is, nobody sells dead chargers... All the online companies sell working ones. Any ideas would be appreciated. |

I have used Luke's second suggestion (just the connector) a few times.
I have had no trouble, and it was quite easy to install. Plus, couldn't beat the $20 price to be able to use a charger I had on hand !!! |

I didn't think about looking on Ebay... If I don't get a hit in the classifieds section here I'll pick it up off of Ebay. Thanks Luke for the idea!

Search ebay, used DC cords are on there pretty cheap.

Re: Where to find dead EZGO charger (or just the cable)
Sooo, I bought the ebay charger handle (or insulator or whatever it's called). Seemed decent enough. soldered in the wires, assembled the handle, all seems to work. Until I charged it a 3rd time. It shoved one of the connectors back into the handle so it made no connection... I opened it up and shoved it back out so it is working again, for now.
But... it isn't stock quality. Anybody wanna sell the cable off a dead charger they have? I'm looking for a backup as I know it's only time until the connector gets loose or is shoved back inside the handle. |

Any EZGO dealer should have a pile of dead chargers that you could get a cord off of.

If you live near a biggish city, I've heard of folks asking for dead welders on Craig's List. Generally they had to fix them, but a few scored working ones. Less likely, but you can subscribe to your city's freecycle.org. It's where folks give away stuff. I actually saw a nice - back when they built them right - Craftsman radial arm saw for free. |
