ok, I have a mcor. Cart is "jerky" on take off. What is the proper way to clean/adjust it?

If the MCOR is anything like a pot box, there should be a cam inside it. You can adjust the cam whichever way it needs to go to allow it to pick up a bit sooner. That's just my guess...

No adjustment the mcor is a sealed unit.

I think there is a adjustment on the pedal, but the MCOR is a sealed unit.

ok, i think you are looking at the wrong part.....

check the resistor across the two big terminals on your solenoid... If it is malfunctioned (not letting voltage pass) or not there at all.... then your capacitor on your speed controller has to charge before it takes off, giving you a "rough start"

I have a non resistor cart. I believe tungpo is correct because I did make some adjustments to the pedal which linked directly to the little black box under the floorboard. There are three bolts that can be adjusted there,...I just can't undo what I did!

when you say non-resistor car, I take it you mean not a 36v car with a resistor to control speed?

my cart is a 48v, no coil/resistor.

there should be a small resistor across the two large post of your solenoid... This allows your speed controller to stay charged, and not give you a rough "take off". If it is missing or malfunctioned then your capacitor has to charge before the controller starts sending a message, and by then your foot has already set the mcor to take off faster.


pedal adjustments won't give you a take off problem, it may make you slower from wearing out or being adjusted wrong. Regardless of your adjustments you should have a range of motion from off, to slow, to whatever your top speed is.
