Oh My Gosh !!! these r awesome...how did u make ur pattern..ur's look better than most store bought..I am wanting a set out of diamond plate..I'm a girl..how would i cut it & smooth the edges ??? & where did u get the hindges & locking knobs ?? thanks so much

Oh My GOSH !!! These r awesome...they look better than store bought...I'm wanting some made out of diamond plate..I already have the diamond..I'm a girl..so please help me out here..how would I cut the plate and smooth the edges ?? where did u get the hinges & locking knobs ?? & can u get them in stainless ??/

Thank you for the comment of the looks.
After a year’s worth of riding, they still look like new. Neither side is identical to each other so you will have to file to fit each side. First I started with a piece of cardboard and cut it as close as I could to the inside shape. Then I used that as a template to cut the metal. Then attached the hinges to the plates, Not the cart. The openings are not flat, so I used a piece of wood and a rubber mallet to roll over the ends. This did take some time going back and forth to finally get the correct bend. Then I had to file a bit more to get a perfect fit. Once they fit in the opening, I than attached the doors to the inside of the glove box. The pull knob was a bit tricky to figure out how far down to drill the hole and not hit the back of the glove box.
