Default Hello All...newbie needs help

Hello everyone! I'm new to carts and I have two questions:

1.) How can I tell what year and model my cart is? It does NOT have an id plate under the dash on left side. I bought it from a guy who modifies these things and he says it's a 2005. It doesn't have an id plate because it was pieced together and didn't have a body on it, so he replaced the body without an id plate? Whatever. I am just trying to figure this out so I can buy parts....

2.) Looking to get a lift kit. Is the Jakes 5" axle drop kit good and does it improve the handling any, or does it negatively affect it?

Thanks in advance for the help. I'll be back often for sure!

Have you tried looking at the EZ Go site? I think they have an area which gives you some clues to tell whay year cart you have. Good luck!!

Thanks guys. I figured out I have a 2000 or earlier by the bolts on the steering column and the steering rack is up underneath the body instead of on the axle. Thanks, love the site!
