Antenna Choice
First post after reading for hours ... tried search and did not get what I am looking for. I have a 2005 EZGO 36V cart. Fully customized, except for AM/FM antenna. Thought this would be simple, but noooo. Cheap, marine grade, grounded, non-grounded, etc.... What have you had success with as far as antenna use on electric gold carts? Thanks, and any links would be helpful! Come on guys and girls, do not let me down!!!! Last edited by smfdva; 03-27-2011 at 05:14 PM.. Reason: mispelling |

Re: Antenna Choice
Rubber, electric doesn't matter as long as you don't ground it to the frame of the cart.

Re: Antenna Choice
I was planning on getting an old whip and bowing it on the inside of the body to keep it invisible. I use to put one across the inside of my dash up near the defrost vents and got to use my remote from verrrrry far away for remote start.

Re: Antenna Choice
no problemo....
Seriously, I just used a long wire antenna under the cowl. Great for FM, not so great for AM. You can make one by just getting a pigtailed antenna connector, or just cut the coax near the connector on an ordinary el-cheapo antenna and add a wire about 4~6 ft long to the center conductor. No need to make a connection to the shield (braid wire). |

Re: Antenna Choice
Got this one at best buy. Think it was less than $15.
