Re: AllSports durability stink
Personally... I think the AS Super Sport lift is a really nice lift!
(I, however, have a Jake's spindle lift on my cart do to my existing factory Z lift) BUT... I did put on a 7.5 SS on my buddies cart, and he REALLY beat the cr*p out of it to test it's durability! He did wear out/break the lower heim joint pivot support (or whatever it's called) on the drivers side within 7 months of purchase, and All Sports sent me 4 new pivot supports at no charge! He's since wore out another one at the same location... luckily he has spares! BUT... as tough as he is on his cart, he's never broke a leaf spring! so, IMO... something's up with that! Hopefully, All Sports will step up to the plate and replace your 2nd leaf spring at no charge, at least to.... "save face"! 1st pic~ king pin heim 2nd pic~ The destroyed, and new aluminum heim supports (or whatever they're called!) my .02 |

Re: AllSports durability stink
The heim joints squeak when they dry out. You have two options here. Option A, carry a can of WD40 everywhere you go. Option B - Drill a small hole in them and add a grease fitting. I just spray mine with some wd40 once a month or so and I never hear any noise at all from them.

Re: AllSports durability stink
I installed a Jake's 6 inch Double A Arm Lift Kit. I replaced every bolt that I could with Grade 8 bolts, as long as I could find a matching bolt size.

Re: AllSports durability stink
Well, I am going to recover from Christmas spending and I will be going with a Terra Toys lift kit for my cart. Heard nothing but good things about the durability and ruggedness of Terra. Plus its a long travel that will give me about 10" of wheel travel...

Re: AllSports durability stink
The squeaks are from all the bushings and heim joints. Im sure that is from dirt and water and such. So i would expect that from any lift. My 4 wheeler and sxs squeak to you just don t hear it cause of motor noise. As far as the breaking goes both snapped right in the middle where the mount hole is snapped bolt and spring. My wonder is could cold weather maybe have something to do with it. Last year in turkey it was a cool 35* and the other night was in the low 20*. When i broke the 1st one i kept drivn it til season was over. It bent the crap out of the lower one but it never broke. Its just the top short one. I did use the stock rear spring to make a replacement this time. So will see what happens. I know there are hundreds of these lifts in use and some will never have issues. Just like i have 5 Ford trucks all f-150 crews or supercrews from 2007 s -2009 s. One 07 except for schedued maint. has never been in the shop except for elect window switch. the other 07 within 2500 miles of each other has been in 5 or more times for all kinds of stuff unexplainable. Just sharing my experience and would like to fix the problem i don t want anything for free just how to fix it or keep it from happening again. And maybe i did by using the stock rear spring. Time will tell. Have a great day tahmm1
