I know it won't help you now but I bench bled my master cylinder before installing it and still had a time getting all the air out of the system but it was definately worth it cause she'll stop on a dime now.Have you tried cracking all 4 of the bleeder valves & let it gravity bleed (just be sure to keep the m/c resivoir full)?

I did this when fitting everything together (not bleeding the system).

I mention this in case it could have damaged the MC?

Damage or just dry-rot/shrinkage is possible.I would see if they will send you a kit and go thru it.Lube the parts with brake-fluid during assembly.

Got a Dot4 or Dot5 fluid in the system..............and it seized the MC.

Bummer DUDE!

Well at least the mystery is solved. Dot 5 is silicone based? Anyway not compatible. Sorry to hear of this but glad we know what happened... what to do about purging the system and what effects will this have on the wheel cylinders ?

I dont think the contaminated fluid has gotten to the calipers.......but wont know for sure until this weekend or the next and I tear into it. If it has gotten to the calipers.......I will have to replace them.

Just curious as to why the Dot 4 or 5 is not compatible, what does it do to the system?
