Speed Sensor? Weird problem after motor install
Hey guys, I've been lurking on here for a year or so since I got my cart, but this is my first post, and looking for a little help. I just installed a Plum Quick bandit a couple days ago and everything seemed to fit in perfectly fine. The problem is that when I press on the accelerator it's basically a coin flip if I'll be able to get up to the new top speed, about 22mph, or if it will max out at 8mph. I spoke with them about possibilities and tried checking the speed sensor harness to make sure the connection is tight, which it appears to be. Just wondering if anyone has any suggestions or if you've experienced this problem before. My gut feeling is that there's a loose connection of some sort to be causing the inconsistent reaction but I have no idea if I should take the speed sensor off to test it or if there's something else I could do to troubleshoot? Any thoughts are appreciated, thanks!

Precedent Excel or Precedent IQ? What's the serial number for the car?

It's an IQ cart, serial starts in PQ.

Re: Speed Sensor? Weird problem after motor install
Probably a bad speed sensor. Sounds like it's about to bite the dust.

Re: Speed Sensor? Weird problem after motor install
Is that common for it to act like that before it dies? Any recommendations for a DIY repair?

Yes it's common. Get a new one and replace it.
