Re: 2011 Stealth Apache 64v Solenoid issue
64v solenoids are available but I seem to remember your cart uses a 48 volt activation circuit. Do a search for stealth and I think you should find a diagram. Before that check to see what the voltage is going to the two small posts on the solenoid. If it is close to 64 it is wired incorrectly

Re: 2011 Stealth Apache 64v Solenoid issue
kgsc, if he finds 48v at his solenoids small posts, can you think of any other reason they would be going bad so quickly?

Re: 2011 Stealth Apache 64v Solenoid issue
It depends on what is going bad. If it is the contacts it has excessive load. If it is the coil it is probably just a bad solenoid.

Thanks for that input! We'll wait and see what he finds.

Re: 2011 Stealth Apache 64v Solenoid issue
Thanks for responding to this post.
When I flip the Forward/Reverse, it sends 57.3 volts to the small post on the solenoid. |

Re: 2011 Stealth Apache 64v Solenoid issue
If your activation circuit is supposed to be 48 you probably have lead wire one too far in the daisy chain of batteries..

Re: 2011 Stealth Apache 64v Solenoid issue
kgsc, I am not sure what you mean on the activation for 48V. It is a 64V system. It here another place I should be checking.

Re: 2011 Stealth Apache 64v Solenoid issue
I have that, I assumed it was just a different way of drawing up the 64V. They are all 8 in a cabling of positive to negative across the system of batteries. So I am not sure if there is something to drop this down to 48v at the solenoids.

Re: 2011 Stealth Apache 64v Solenoid issue
What he's saying is that the wire that is activating your solenoid is coming off of your 7th battery (56v) instead of your 6th battery (6 x 8 = 48v). That's why you're burning up solenoids.
