Yamaha Drive opinions wanted
Hi people. New to the forum and golf carting in general.
My wife and I would like to get a new cart for trucking around our river front property. I think I am set on the Yamaha Drive, but would like some opinions on them. My plans are to get a windshield, standard lights, rear seat, and maybe the Jakes 6" lift and larger tires. Also, I see they now have fuel injection available for approx $300 extra. Would you recommend it? Thanks in advance, Clarky |

For the amount of money your gonna shell out on a new cart with fuel injection and all the added accessories your in the price range of a Polaris 400 or 500 ranger. A lot more bang for the buck. Just my opinion though.

I totally agree with you.....but, wifey wants a golf cart. Plus, one place where we will be using it doesn't allow ATV/UTVs, only golf carts.

Re: Yamaha Drive opinions wanted
The 2012.5 and 2013 models of the drive have had some really good changes to the clutchs and pedal assy's. I'm not all "gaga" about EFI, but with the ethonal gas we get, it could save headaches down the road. I will say if you get an EFI car, make absaloutly shure to turn the key off when not in use, the fuel gauge/hour meter can drain the battery. 300.00 doesn't seem to be to high of price for better fuel system. Good luck with what ever you decide

Hi
I think the extra money for EFI is worth it because of the ethanol in the gas. You can use Sta-Bil (blue one) every other fillup to help. I think 2012.5 and 2013 only come with EFI. |

Re: Yamaha Drive opinions wanted
I think the ptv models are EFI only. The fleet models can be had either way. I bought a 2013 ptv, and I love it so far. I bought the speed spring from cartsplus. It will run down the road at 23 now on stock tires and wheels.
I think the fit and finish of the yamaha is excellent. I'm very happy with mine. Rick |
