Default Bought a 2013 Drive EFI PTV

So I bought myself a new cart. I did a ton of reading and decided the Yamaha was the best choice. Now I need some help personalizing it.

I've ordered a wood grain dash, wood grain arm rests, and a fold down windshield. I also ordered the speed spring to give it a few more mph.

I've looked at tires and wheels. I know the wheel is a personal preference decision, but what are others running? I'm planning on using it to drive around my development which is adjacent to the golf course. And I will drive it on the course as well. What wheel and tire size would be most desirable?

Any other other accessories I should consider?

Thanks for your help guys!

Slid, never looked at grass tires. But don't think there are many options. Most golf courses won't let you on, unless you have a certain tire.

Enjoy that "brand new" Yamaha!!

Would most courses let you on with the street tires?

When going to larger wheels and tires do most guys install lift kits?

Any other must have accessories that I should consider?

Thanks for the reply mike!

Slid, I'm not the one to console about street cars here. For a larger tire (height), yes, you probably need to raise the car to avoid rubbing issues. The "smart" guys will respond here soon I'm sure! Most of us don't have new cars, so this is a treat just ta see what you "new car guys" do!!

Pictures please!!??

It's bone stock right now so pics are not much help. I will post some over the next week or two as the accessories get installed.

I was looking for a relatively cheap radio solution. Anyone tried one of these?

I just want to hook up my iPhone or iPod touch. I thought of one of those cube speakers but wanted a bit more sound for driving around the neighborhood.

I sold my snowmobiles to fund the cart purchase. Otherwise I'd never have bought a new one. We have a few local cart guys but they all wanted 3k plus for 4 year old carts. I bought the 2013 ptv efi from a dealer in Minneapolis for $5400 out the door.

I had a few bucks leftover from the sled sale so I wanted to dress it up a bit.

Thanks again.

Rick, I have a very similar system on mine. Works well when parked, or played very loud when driving. I also have a sub woofer on mine. Your car will be much quieter than mine. Have pictures of it in "The G8 Club" somewhere.

For those that are interested, I found these overhead consoles. I like the finished look of speakers and head unit installed overhead. I wanted to keep the dash cubbies and tray open for important things like beer and golf balls.

Please note I've not seen either one in person yet. But I'm planning on ordering the first one I think. I like the idea of being able to use 6.5" standard depth speakers. Both keep the electronics and speakers high and dry in case of rain.

Anyone used either one that can comment on the build quality or fit?

Also, what are you guys running for head units that can interface to iPhone or iPod?

Thanks guys!

Rick

Yes, I can agree with that.

I found this receiver which seems to be a decent buy.

I found this pair of speakers that looked pretty good too.
Amazon.com: Polk Audio DB651 6.5-Inch Coaxial Speakers: Car Electronics Amazon.com: Polk Audio DB651 6.5-Inch Coaxial Speakers: Car Electronics

They are probably not the highest quality products but I think they offer pretty good bang for the buck.

Most of the consoles I found that included the components were in the 400 to 500 dollar range.

I'd just make sure the speakers are marine or water proof!
