Can I convert electric to gas?
I have an old Yamaha electric golf cart. I'm not too sure how old it is, but at least 20 years. A guy offered me a free engine with all the parts for free to convert my cart. Is it worth the time and effort to convert it or is it time to get a new one? I only have $500 to spend on a used golf cart so not much. PLease help.

it is possible but not really worth it check out you tube for conversions some work good others are just cobbled garbage and remember you then have no reverse , sell the electric cart for 3-5 hundred and take the 500 you have and find a gas cart for 700 to 1000 and then start from there its easier to fix a broken gas cart then to try and engineer

Way too much trouble and the extra parts like rear end and clutching . Like said better to just sell what you have and get a good used gas cart.
