Re: New Super Duty Solenoid - no go
Follow Scotty's wiring diagram to the "T". It will keep you safe and out of trouble.

Re: New Super Duty Solenoid - no go
Pedal micro switch was bad. Quick trip to golf cart place for a new one and I was up and running.
Thanks for all the help. |

Replaced pedal micro switch again, no go! D***
Not getting any voltage at green and blue wires going to key switch. Any ideas? |

Re: New Super Duty Solenoid - no go
Blue wire is the voltage to the keyswitch. It comes from a microswitch (MS-2) on the F/R switch assembly, which in turn is fed by the reed switch, or whatever way the reed switch was bypassed.

Re: New Super Duty Solenoid - no go
Ok.....but "how" are you testing to see if you have voltage at the key switch? The wire going to the key switch from the batteries....and then to the peddle is positive. So, where are you touching the negative side to?

Re: New Super Duty Solenoid - no go
D****
Testing voltage today trying to fix this thing. Full pack voltage to key switch. Full pack voltage from key switch (green wire) when key is turned on. Full voltage at F&R where green wire and blue wire connect to microswitches on F&R. Full voltage at green wire going into pedal microswitch. Full voltage from pedal micro switch whether pedal is depressed or not! Shouldn't I only have full voltage at red wire from pedal micro switch if pedal is depressed? |

Re: New Super Duty Solenoid - no go
Tested connection to Solenoid from pedal microswitch by putting red end of voltmeter inside sleeve of terminal connector on red wire and putting ground on voltmeter on ground to controller. When I do this, solenoid clicks and cart goes????

Re: New Super Duty Solenoid - no go
It might be that pushing the test probe into the backside of the connector causes it to make a better electrical connection.
The four pin in-line MOLEX connector that connects the the four wire cable to the cart's wiring harness is notorious for causing ITS and pedal switch issues. You can do whatever you think is right, but if the one on my cart ever acts up, I'm going to cut the in-line connector out and solder the wires together. (Actually, I'll twist the wires together, solder them and then coat them with NO-OX-ID and wire-nuts. That leaves me some accessible test points.) |
