I use a D&D 502 motor on 42v with mine - depends upon what you are wanting and where and how you load & drive. If your motor dealer isn't anking you these questions they are selling you cookie cutter parts.

Thumbs up Re: Alltrax 500A XCT Installed!

I have recently purchased a 2008 Precedent that has been converted to a LSV (street legal golf cart). The cart has 20" tires on 10" rims, XCT400 with fan, 4 ga wires, HD solenoid, and an Admiral MOT-A2 motor. Love the controller, have a usb cable that I keep attached to "play" with the controller's software on my laptop.
The cart easily can maintain 25-27 mph with 3 people on board. A little tweaking of the torque and speed curves along with the top speed rpm setting I can get 30-31 mph with just me driving.
I am Really pleased with this setup, the only "minor" problem has been finding the right torque and speed settings to get smooth acceleration. It can be a bit jerky if you don't pressure the pedal just right.
Otherwise I Love this cart...

So I must just live in a village of idiots lol. I cannot find one person within 30 miles willing to install my Alltrax 500 XCT. Is there any video instructions out here that any of you know of about installing this on a Club Car Precedent 2010?

Ok good news I got a local Golf Cart Guru that agreed to install my XCT on Saturday! I will post the results once I try it.

Wow that's good speed... Does the motor get hot?

I have run the cart mostly full throttle on a road near us with 3 people on board for about 3.5 - 4 miles straight into the wind and the motor registered 141 F at the end of the run averaging about 27 mph. Some say that is to high, but I have read that staying under 160 F (for a short period) is not a problem. Mostly running around the roads near our beach house averaging around 23-25 mph the temp stays below 125 F.

That's all he needs. If he thinks he needs something else, get him to call me.
