Re: Green 2001 moves but jumps
Ok went back out found it to be the starter solenoid clicking to beat hell so I bypassed it and the cart runs just fine forward and reverse. The solenoid is pulling in and dropping out over and over. I un-hooked the yellow wire then jumped the 2 battery cable wires and it ran good.
The next problem is it will not charge. It didn't come with a charger so I am using my power driver charger is that my problem? |

Re: Green 2001 moves but jumps
The Powerdrive charger will charge it. Do you know if that is a known working charger?

Re: Green 2001 moves but jumps
here is a thought after reading the above post and one other one I found regarding how the OBC works and what I found out on my 1998 CC. I plugged in my know working charger to the "new" 2001 and nothing so I took the charger back to my 1998 and plugged it in and nothing. at this point I got paranoid thinking I burned out the charger plugging it into the "new" 2001. I then had my son drive the 1998 around for 10 to 15 minutes and he brought it back in and the charger kicked in and started charging.
Now on my way to work this morning I was thinking since I just put in batteries and then I reset the OBC and the batteries and pack are at 51.4 vdc with maybe 2 minutes of run time on them after I jumped the starter solenoid could it be that the OBC has not saw enough drain on the batteries and enough run time to charge them since they were at full charge to begin with? Could this be my problem? I read that the OBC records run time so it knows how and when to turn on the charger? Thanks By the way all the above steps from jakesnake27 are ok! |

Re: Green 2001 moves but jumps
Possibly. Try this. Plug the charger into the cart, WITHOUT the AC cord plugged into the wall. Does the charger click within about 5 seconds?

Re: Green 2001 moves but jumps
The charger does not click with in 5 seconds. Also tried another solenoid and the cart still hops could it be since the yellow wire from the OBC goes to the solenoid and is causing the solenoid to jump in and out?

Sounds like the OBC has bit the dust...
