Default another key switch problem

scratching my head on this one...my cart will run with the key in the off position. I have changed the key switch out and even while the wire were unhooked it had power. I just recently switched over to ScottyB's throttle system and everything was good to go until this happened. The volt meter will turn on and off with the key but I have constant power at the solenoid. my hot wire from the battery, if I remember correctly, goes from the battery, to the switch, to the FandR, to the Pot, to the solenoid. is there anywhere that I could be back feeding power to the solenoid? I know its a long shot but thanks!

jlutsey - the basic concept is captured with the diagram below.

the voltage to the key switch comes from the battery pack off the solenoid (green wire)

the voltage from the key switch in the ON position goes to the MCOR (blue wire). Without power to the MCOR/throttle control the cart should not move.

the output from the throttle control should go to the speed controller (yellow wire). the yellow output from the speed controller is an input to the solenoid (yellow wire).

I believe the current path should be battery --> solenoid --> key switch ON --> MCOR signal --> speed controller. Once the speed controller sees the input voltage, speed controller --> solenoid OPEN enabling power to be sent to the F/R switch and motor.
