2007 ydre ?
I just bought a 2007 Yamaha. It needs batteries. It has (4) 12 volt batteries in it now. Can I put 6 - 8 in it without going to new. Don't know anything about the working of a Yamaha. But It look like a solid cart.
Now for one more question, is it a G something, like g 29 or so ? Thanks for the help. I will be asking for more help, so get ready. Sonny |

Re: 2007 ydre ?
Yamaha Drive is also known as a G-29. You can just barely stuff 2 more 8v in the middle between the existing battery holes. If I owned one of those, that trick would be high on my list too..

Call Don Plowman at Plowman's Carts. He has an inexpensive conversion kit and can help. He's also a sponsor on this site

Re: 2007 ydre ?
I have the same cart and just put 6 8 volt batteries in it.
I also dropped in a alltrax xct400 controller and doubled the speed. |

Re: 2007 ydre ?
YDRA = Yamaha drive Gas. Yamaha electrics have always had a "E" designation at the end of their model (like G29e). All Yamaha gasser always designated with an "A" at the end of model (like G22a). Since 2007, all Yamaha golf carts in he US market are "The Drive". In 2017, a new model was released, "Drive 2".
