2009 yamaha g29 ydre
I purchased my Cart from a Dealer in Michigan. Got it home and noticed an Oil leak Drivers side of the rear axle. On the Bottom of the Transaxle near the mounting bolts is a "factory" weep hole and the oil is leaking (very very slowly) from that hole maybe a table spoon in a couple of weeks. I took it back to the dealer he stated he would change the seal for free. 2 weeks later went and picked it up got it home, still leaking same hole (does not appear to be any cracks in the casing. It does not appear that the axle had been split and there were cob webs over the mounting bolt area. Is it difficult for a lay person to break apart the axle and preform this operation? T/Y in advance for your input and assistance.

It is a big task for the average owner. But, no real special tools.

Re: 2009 yamaha g29 ydre
Thank you for your response... I am thinking now that paying a dealer may be less than the whole of fixing any error's or damage I may do on my own.
Thank you again. |

If you've never done one, save the headache and just pay someone to do it

Re: 2009 yamaha g29 ydre
I think I may have the same thing? Does it look like my picture attached? It is only happening on the drivers side. The dips stopped until I lifted the back end up for an hour or so working on stuff and when I put it back down the drip started up again... Did you end up paying someone to do it? How much?
Thanks! |

Mine leaks in the same spot but looks much worse. How much did it cost to fix it?
