'06 Precedent won't go when pedal is pushed
Need help diagnosing why my Precedent won't go. I have replaced the MCOR and the Solenoid already. I can hear the solenoid click, batteries are brand new and fully charged. I am not sure where to look next. Any thoughts?

Re: '06 Precedent won't go when pedal is pushed
Get your multi-meter out and verify the solenoid "is" closing in. The voltage on the controller side will be slightly below pack voltage and then when it closes in it should be full pack voltage. If it does and you prove it correctly operating, then test the motor. You will be down to that or the controller....
Do you hear the reverse buzzer when you place it in reverse? And do you hear the run-away alarm when you manually roll it forward or backwards? |

Thanks, I will try that!
I do hear the reverse buzzer when in reverse, but will have to try the rolling. |

Re: '06 Precedent won't go when pedal is pushed
To test your sepex motor, jack the rear of the cart up and place the run/tow switch into the "Tow" position.
Remove all cables from the motor and then connect a jumper from A1 to F1 and then a jumper from A2 to F2. Connect 12 volts + to A1/F1 and - to A2/F2. (It is helpful to use a disconnect switch in-line to open/close the power supply) You can swap the F1 and F2 to change the rotation direction. Note: Limit the time and speed so as to not damage the motor as you have no controller except you..... |
