My 400A solenoid from scottyb is no louder than the stocker or not so loud that I noticed. Mine is mounted to the back of the plastic controller bay

Watched your video. Mine is every bit that loud and probably a little louder. It is a 400 amp HD. Too me, that is not that loud, but I'm half deaf anyways....

Well you could shoot it with a thermal gun after a long ride to see what the temp is. IMO, it really should not heat up, but that might not be the case in real life.
If it doesn't heat up then a couple of rubber gaskets between it and the frame then wrapped in acoustical foam might give you what you want. |
