Default G29 charging receptacle

Hey

Car came in today dead, batteries are 6 months old and it turned out it was never charging when customer thought it was. Strange thing is the charger will not work on the customers cart, but it will work on our test bench setup. Cart voltage is high enough to turn on charger at 47v. So I installed a new female receptacle on the cart still no go. I noticed the small grey wire from the harness that connects to receptacle was burned so I crimped another connection but still no go. Can the controller on the g29 go bad in a way to not allow the charger to work? Not sure what's wrong because it's rare that the female receptacle goes bad. Please give me any ideas

By the way, the charger is the small silver really lightweight square type.
Thanks

The charger talks to the controller through that third pin in the connector. If that doesn't work, then the charger won't charge.

Is there a way to test it with a multimeter?
