Yamaha g8e broken axle shaft in differintial
I have a modified yamaha 1991G8E SN-JF3102### that I bought recently, my son was driving it and it started making a grinding noise then quit turning he said. I jacked it up and took out the axle shafts, the driver side one is snapped in half and is stuck in the differential. I've heard this is very hard to do and rare. I was wondering if I should replace the whole transaxle assembly or would it be safe to just replace the rod. I figured something had to of causes it. Just needing help, I cant find any parts online, most things I found start with a 1992 model. When I measured the axle rod that is broken is only 15" long, shorter than what I've seen online.

I have an entire rear end for an electric G8 if you need the whole thing or just parts.

I’m not sure how feasible shipping would be. I mailed one once and it cost $75 of shipping. You want the whole thing or just the axles?
