Default RXV AC Motor Rebuild

Where can I get an AMD A.C. motor from a 2008 EZGO RXV rebuilt?

There I fixed it... That link was funny.

What part of it needs rebuilt? What part would you like replaced? There isn't much to do in there.

I was told I need a new one. I don't know that much about it and I wanted to see if there was a cheaper alternative since the new ones are pricey!

So now I asked for more information and I was told that it throws a brake sensor fault code which is being caused by the encoder. But it is a a first gen motor and the encoder is not replaceable in first gen.

I am Ezgo factory certified, never seen a Rxv without replaceable encoder. The only sensor in a Rxv motor that's not replaceable is the temp sensor (it's woven into the motor windings). Will get you encoder part number. Care to post a pic of the motor?

Encoder part number 612595

If was hoping you were close because I have a 2012 motor. Let me know if you do need to replace it, maybe we can work something out.

Definitely try to troubleshoot first though.

The RXV's with Curtis controller have a speed sensor thats a simple bolt and an O-ring to replace. The carts with the Danaher controller have a bearing encoder incorporated into the motor bearing. You have to remove and disassemble the motor to replace and they're quite pricey. I have found them on eBay and Amazon ranging from $150 to $240 plus shipping. Not really too bad a job after you get the motor off.
