Thanks everybody,

Issue was he was pulling one side of the key off the 12ish volt post. I moved it to the ground ( I don't have the stock charging port, so could not attach to it there. Also I went over and over and could not find what appeared to be a closed circuit, as I was getting continuity even when I did not have the micro switches closed.

On a guess and desperation, I removed the first solenoid in my string and connected the trigger wires to a new solenoid I had, and it fired it correctly then. After that I replaced all my Solenoids and the cart works like a dream...

Now time for the slow road to rebuilding it....

By the "ground" I hope you are talking about pack negative. I still don't understand what you mean by the 12 volt, post, ish etc. There should be nothing 12 volt on the cart unless somebody tapped 2 batteries for lights or something.

Glad you got it running.

Hey Mooncarter.

When you say the Pack negative... if you mean it's the last negative on the 6 - 6 volt batteries that is grounding to the motor and charging lead(black wire) then yes.

He was pulling, or had the red wire from they key switch going to a post in the middle of the pack. When I was measuring voltage at the speed switches and far limit switch, it was at 12 volts... I 'think' he had 12 volt solenoids installed on the Cart, and that was his way to 'kind of' get them to work.

Like I said it was a mechanics special...and I am no mechanic, and never owned a golf cart before...but I did get it working... so I guess I am mechanicsh ;)
