Default Storage for 5 Months

Have a 09 ex go txt, 36 v. Leaving back to Michigan next week. Is it best to just put in tow mode, disconnect the pos and negative main cables or should I disconnect each battery from each other also?
Thanks

Can you find someone to charge it for you every three to four weeks?

otherwise you will certainly come back with totally dead/dry pack and you will be buying a whole new set of batteries.

If i had to do this on a regular basis I would
A. find somebody to charge it every 4 weeks
B. sell the batteries at the end of the season and buy new each year.

A malfunctioning storage plan for 5 months is long enough to seriously compromise or kill a battery pack.

Do you have a house sitter that checks your house? perhaps they could quickly unplug and re-plug in the charger to keep the cart charged. Down here I live in a very seasonal neighborhood (60-70% snowbirds). Everyone has a house sitter that unplugs and plugs in charger each time they check the house on weekly or monthly basis. It wouldn't be such a good idea to leave a house or a cart unattended for that many months without being checked.

Another option is one of those DPI chargers that kicks on when the batteries drop below a certain voltage.

Thanks for the info. Looks like I will get one of the full timers plug it in every 3 weeks or so. Has a analog volt meter so that should help let them know when it's getting low.
Thanks again

Many chargers require they be disconnected from the cart to initiate a new charge cycle.

I'd check that out before putting a timer on the AC power outlet.

I think he meant full timers as in full time residents.

I bought a Lester2 charger and hooked it up directly. It's supposed to come on automatically when the batteries get low and is supposed to automatically start a charge cycle after a power outage. Does that sound right?
