Cart Goes by self at full charge
My 2009 club car precedent when it is fully charged, will take off by itself. Take for instance i unplug my cart. Put it in reverse and it goes without me pushing the pedal. Once one bar has dropped off of the charge meter it no longer does it. I have a new motor, new solenoid and controller.

Check to see if you still have the TPS installed. Those things were dangerous and should have been replaced by CC with an MCOR, but many weren’t.

Re: Cart Goes by self at full charge
I agree the TPS could cause this issue since it does not have a physical micro-switch to interrupt the signal so if it develops a false signal low enough not to trigger an HPD, you would have a problem with self starting.
If that is happening with the Key OFF, then you have another problem since it is impossible for the TPS to activate a non powered Solenoid. According to David at RevolutionGolfCars.com, that happened often with the TPS and that is why Club Car recalled those carts back in 2009 to replace them with MCORs. |

Re: Cart Goes by self at full charge
well i do have the TPS and not the MCOR i know for a fact i have done a supplemental amount of research, but then i seen the cheapest one i could find was $245 for the kit. so before i spent that i wanted to make sure it was that before pulling the trigger. Anybody know where to get a cheaper one??

Re: Cart Goes by self at full charge
Don't cheap out on the MCOR, many times the Chinese ones are bad right out of the box, and when they do work it's short lived. David at RGC has the OEM MCOR conversion kit, which is what you need: https://www.revolutiongolfcars.com/p...conversion-kit

I have no dog in this fight by telling you this, but if you look at all the guys on this site that fix carts they all say stay away from aftermarket parts. You own a golf car, Its a toy, like a boat, an RV, a jet ski, and as such they are not cheap to repair. " Do it Right, Cry once" |
