Default Is it malfunction of the battery power indicator or the batteries?

My 2007 electric club cart Runs great and solid. But now it has a problem. The battery condition indicator doesn’t move to the right after fully charged each time (the charger shows it’s fully charged and the pin is back at left as usual and timely). After three days the indicator went down to the left and started blinking. So I flip the tow/run switch to tow just to see what would happen. After a few minutes I flip it back to Run and WOW the indicator jump to the right immediately as it supposed to be. The trouble is now I have to flip the tow/run after each charge to let the indicator correct/move the indicator to the right daily. Is this a problem of battery power indicator malfunctioning or the batteries are going bad.
FYI, the cart is a two seater for personal use, well kept and cared for as the manufacturer instructed. The Trojan T1275 batteries were instalLed In spring of 2015. No sign of erosion or stress on batteries. Thanks for any inputs. Sam. L
