Default Admiral MOT-B2 Motors on EZGO DCS

I recently came into possession of a Admiral MOT-B2 motor for my 2000 EZGO TXT DCS cart. It currently has the stock motor and stock speed controller in there, but I am planning to upgrade everything. That’s where the MOt-B2 i think can help.

THis motor however comes with a connection to the speed switch which my DCS doesn’t have. Is there any way to bypass this connection to make it work? Or can I buy a part that will connect to this to add it to the DCS system i have? I can’t seem to find any install manuals for this scenario.

I'm pretty sure you're talking about the speed sensor in the center of the motor's end cap. Just leave it disconnected, it's not part of what makes the motor run.

The Admiral will work without the speed sensor connected on the DCS as Johnnie suggested. The Admiral motor will not perform to its full capability with the stock controller. For best results use an Alltrax XCT control with the proper field map installed.

Yes, the speed sensor input attached to the motor. See attached pic for reference. Yes I’m planning to upgrade to a 4-500 amp alltrax xct controller

Thanks ahead of time for your help.

I installed one on my dcs. I have a navitas 440. It ran ok. I installed the speed sensor to the navitas adapter and I gained 5 mph and what i feel is torque. My 36 v was going 15-17 and now it does 20-22.
