New Club Car DS motor question!
I just purchased a 96 Club Car DS. So far I added a stereo and light bar. It already came lifted and with rims, wheels, and diamond plate accessories.
My question is I would like to upgrade the speed. I have read you can increase speed with a speed code 4 or high speed magnet (as well as a controller, faster rpm motor etc) How do I determine which motor I have so I can attempt the less expensive routes first? My serial is as follows: A9606-4855XX I have tried the search feature but came up short for my year range. Thank you in advance for pointing me in the right direction. |

to BGW.
Judging by your FNR you have a series cart. You do not have a speed sensor.. |

Re: New Club Car DS motor question!
You'll need 21st century electronics, 48 volts and a speed motor. A high amp controller wouldn't hurt either.

That's a really nice looking cart. How old are the batteries? What kind of lift is on the front? Where are you located?

Take a picture of the front suspension when you get around to it. Just want to make sure that it's not a spindle lift vs. A arm. |

Roger. I will take a picture in a few minutes. I have a little slop in the steering, so I figured replacing bushings and tierod ends etc would fix this? Was just hoping there was an instructional post on this. I can only find videos of steering rack swaps on youtube. |
