Default Stereo install

I am installing a stereo in my 2004 Ezgo TXT. I currently have a 20 amp voltage reducer for my LED headlights/taillights. I would like to run the stereo off the reducer if possible. The reducer only has wires for on accessory. I’m not sure how many amps the lights are drawing. My guess is not many being LED, the stereo is 6amps. Also, any info on wiring would be a great help. My lights are switched at the key. Is there a way to wire the radio to have memory for presets and clock.

Default Re: Stereo install

After doing some more research, I think using a fuse block is the way to go to run more accessories off my reducer. Here’s a picture of the only fuse block I could find in town it doesn’t have a negative post only a positive. The instructions say for each accessory to run the negative to the frame or a bolt but I know I can’t do that on a electric golf cart. Can I run the negatives from the accessories back to the negative terminal of the battery pack or should I buy a different fuse block with a negative post? I also attached a pic of the wiring for the stereo. Thanks again.

Default Re: Stereo install

The installation of the stereo is completed. I decided to buy a new 30A voltage reducer with a constant wire for the stereos memory, I also installed a fuse block for all my 12v accessories. I installed the stereo in the ball holder and bought pods for the speakers. I also installed a universal antenna. It sounds great. I hope this will be a help to someone in the future
