Default Alltrax Install Low/High Throttle Errors

Alltrax XCT500/with 400a for '07 PDS from ScottyB. In shutdown mode with both Low/High Throttle errors. Solenoid has no clicking noise. Have 0V from white wire in ITS? Do you think that is the culprit? Or something with the solenoid?

Also checked diodes, they measure resistance good from what I can tell. And double checked my solenoid wire, which seems correct.

Any help would be greatly appreciated, trying to finish it up for a xmas gift!

Might be more than one problem since solenoid activation and throttle issues are more or less separate issues.

With no computer attached, does the LED flash green four times and then go to steady green when key is turned ON?

To check the ITS (Throttle) voltages, connect your DVM between the black and white wires (J4 Pins 3 & 4) with J4 plugged into controller. Should be 10V with pedal up and 6V with pedal down.

When no computer is attached there is no status light indication,

however when I do have the computer attached I get 4 green blinks with key off. Then with key switched to on I get 2 green- 4 red. full voltage, 50v, across the solenoid. No voltage on white and black on j4 pins 3 &4

1. The problem is the controller is not being powered up, so neither the solenoid or throttle will work.

2. The computer partially powers the controller up via the USB (logic electronics only). Not sure if solenoid or throttle will work unless the proper voltages are being applied via the control harness wires.

-------
With computer disconnected, check for battery pack voltage (50.9V for fully charged Trojan brand batteries - 50.0V is only 80% charged) on C1 pins 4 and 5.

If it is present, check for pack voltage on C3 pins 1, 2, 3 and 4.

If pack voltage is present on all four of J3's pins, do a continuity check on the XCT. Instructions attached.

Check there is power to pin 4. See page 16 of the Alltrax operators manual

With yalls help of troubleshooting I found out what the problem was! and it was so simple.

I had the charger connector not assembled yet, which in turn had the interlock switch disengaged (red/white wire) pin 4. I assumed it was switched the other way around and would have been a non-factor.

Ops checked once I connected the charger receptacle back on and everything works great!

Thank you!

Simple problems are usually the hardest ones to find.

I figured it had to be something simple or obvious.
PDS is one of the easier installs.
Glad you have it going
