Question 48v series club car plum quick slow

I have a 2003 club car DS 48v series that came with a plum quick bandit motor. The cart tops 15 mph with standard tires amd now runs 16-17 with 22” tires. This seems slow given the motor upgrade Specs and larger tires.

I have checked battery voltage drop and all is within spec. I have also checked the throttle rod to the Mcor and not finding any bend. Any ideas on what I can check to get cart up to expected 20mph? Secondly, any suggestions on upgrades to get a series cart above 20mph?

Thank you.

I'm guessing two possible issues. 1) Still has stock controller. 2) Possible wear in DS linkage keeping the throttle from reaching maximum. It is not a bend in the rod but wear where the pedal assy connects with the V rod to the MCOR. You can put a small piece ot 1/4" fuel hose over the end of the V post resting against the throttle pedal. This will abdorb the wear and possibly give you full throttle again. (Tip given to me by David Hicks, the expert in Club Car)

My 48 volt DS series cart with the plum quick mod does 21.5mph and has 22” tires and that was with the stock 225 amp Curtis controller.
