Default 96 DS -- No Solenoid 'click'

96 DS, Regen I
Did some mods, and guess what? Right. Went from good to bad.
Removed the DB solenoid, removed the dump coil (large resistor coil). Moved heavy gauge white wire directly from controller to A2. Removed the red, brown and orange-white wires from smaller terminals on DB solenoid and taped each one individually so they are disconnected. Unplugged the speed sensor. I didn't touch any wires on the main solenoid, except just taping ups the end of the red wire that used to jump over to the DB solenoid.

Result, the main solenoid will not click on when key is turned on like it did originally, so no power to motor.

I'm thinking the orange-white and brown wires that come from the controller and used to attach to the DB solenoid might need to be connected together. The red jumper from the main solenoid to the DB solenoid may also be involved in the problem. Don't know.

Any suggestions?

Keep the red wire and the orange/white wires connected to each other.

That is the Key Switch signal to the controller.

The brown wire is not used and should be taped by itself.

Thanks, Sergio. I connected the red jumper wire (not the heavy gauge red) from the main solenoid to the orange-white wire from controller. No click in the solenoid when i turn key on, but the wheels jump just a bit when i depress the accelerator, but fail to turn. Some progress, but still need to figure something else out. I may have bricked the motor when I tried to free the nut on A2, even though I used two wrenches. This is why i hooked everything back up, to see if the motor was bricked. Appreciate any ideas any of you may have.
Thanks.

If the turning of the Motor A2 post caused the wire welded to the inside to break loose then it would be a problem.

If the solenoid is not "clicking", You need to first find out the reason.

Do You have pack voltage on the solenoid small terminals when you press the accelerator?

No, Sergio. No voltage at the small terminals.

Hey, Sergio. You have always been very helpful to folks here who post their issues. Regarding mine, don't bother to respond. I'm tearing out the entire Regen I mess and replacing it with an IQ system. Dave at Revolution is helping me get all the needed parts together.
Again, thanks for all your help. A very Happy and Healthy New Year to you and yours.
