Default 2016 TXT No Rear Shocks

I just noticed on a 2016 TXT that I just purchased that it had no rear shocks just leaf springs. Is this normal or did someone take them off for some reason and never replace them? I had a 2002 TXT that had both on it.

I did a search, it didnt give me a definitive answer. Thought someone might have more insight on the subject. I am going to put a 6" lift on it and I was wondering if I should add some.

Better go with shocks, otherwise you'll ruin the rear tyres and the axle

Are there mounts for shocks? If so, then yes, you should put them on there. You should be able to find replacements at one of our sponsors.

Slo a lot of the RXVs came with no rear shocks but all the mounting holes were there. Think they did the same thing with the txt carts.

Kgsc, can you explain why some of the TXT/RXV's should been sold without rear shocks? The shocks are part of the construction, shown in every manual, no hint anywhere that it comes with/or without. Since 7 years i'm playing with golfcarts, have seen a lot in person and hundret of pictures around and never noticed that

Golf courses will order them without shocks to save money. At the speeds they are set for, shocks are of little use.

Thank you Bob, i was sure it's a myth.....good to know, at every age, we can learn something new! My RXV came from a Golf Resort, fortunately including the shocks

Didn’t think about the golf course but good point. Two people hauling a couple of golf bags wouldn’t really notice on the course. People hauler yes. And Ezgo is cheap
