Need Wrapping Advice
I’m On the last leg of my build and it involves wrapping my hunting buggy with a 3M camo wrap . Cart is an 06 DS
Wanted to repair a few imperfections but not sure what filler to use that the wrap would adhere to? There is one small area where I sanded out an imperfection? Will wrap adhere to the sanded area that is no longer glossy? Any advice? |

Re: Need Wrapping Advice
I’ve had the best luck using jb weld plastic weld epoxy for filling imperfections. It sticks way better to the body than bondo and won’t crack when it flexes. Sand to level it after an hour before it fully cures, much easier to sand. Then final sand after 24 hours (fully cured).
The wrap will stick fine to non glossy areas. It just won’t remove as cleanly from those spots if you remove it. |

How do you handle the Club Car emblem? Wrap over or remove?

Re: Need Wrapping Advice
As long as the repair is strong and won't crack, you can use plastic body filler, it works well. The key to a good body job is good filler, good sandpaper, lots of time, and good quality primers and paints. The wrap will stick to any smooth surface that has paint on it.

Re: Need Wrapping Advice
Here is where I am.. I’m using jb weld plastic and filling and sanding cracks.
This is progress on removing imperfections. My plan was to wet sand now with finer grits to polish it up. How fine do I need to go and will the wrap stick to these bare areas? |

Re: Need Wrapping Advice
Seems to me you're asking for trouble wrapping a cart that will be used for hunting. What's the plan when the wrap rips on a branch?
