1995 Club car DS slow
I recently purchased a 1995 48v Club Car DS (serial no: A9507425271). This is my first cart, so I'm new to a lot of this. The cart tops out around 12mph on level ground and 8mph up hill. After reading some other posts I did some troubleshooting. I tested the pack after a full charge and I got a reading of 50.9V. When traveling on a flat surface my readings dropped to 48-49V, and when traveling up a hill my readings dropped to 45-47V. I also tested the v glide and the wiper is making full contact with the last copper pad when pressing the accelerator.
I'm not looking to gain a ton of speed, but if I could get this cart to at least 15mph it would be nice. Any advice on how to increase the speed of this cart without replacing multiple parts? |

As long as you’ve got a shift handle to shift from forward to reverse and not a button, you can use a 36v club car motor for a cheap speed upgrade. It will work fine in 48v and give a nice bump.

Okay, it does have the handle/lever for forward and reverse.
