Exclamation Ez go txt Pds limp mode

Hi everyone! im super new hear and was hoping i could find some help or advise with a cart. It is a TXT Ezgo electric golf cart(unsure of year as the description label has been removed) With a Curtis 1206mx speed controller. we recieved the cart not working, we replaced the batteries and it wouldnt move. We tested the throttle switch and ITS and had good readings, and we ended up finding that we were able to jump the solenoid to get power to the wheels. So it seemed like the speed controller wasnt reading the throttle signal so we came up with a bypass. we used a relay, spliced that in with the throttle switch, to bypass the Speed controllers circuit, but also have the computers throttle switch inputs connected to trick it into allowing throttle. Sorry if this is confusing to explain, we arent very experienced with this stuff and are figuring it out as we go. The main issue now is that we got it to work, but it seems pretty slow, maybe 5mph. And it seems to intermittently get out of limp mode and go twice as fast. We cant figure out what causes it, but we are thinking maybe the computer wants to see a certain delay between the throttle switch being pressed, and the ITS signal. if anyone can shed any light on this that would be great! thanks!

Put the PDS controller into diagnostic mode and listen for the beeped error code. (The first set of 1 to 4 beeps tells you what PDS mode it is in)

Text at bottom of attached label tells you how to get into diagnostic mode.

We did some more work today, we found that with the controllers wiring back to the factory setup, it blips out code 3-1 which reports that the solenoid driver has failed. We found that using a relay switched by the throttle switch, that activated the solenoid, and sent throttle signal to the controller at the same time, it will come out of limp mode. the only issue with that setup, is when you lift off the throttle, and get back on, it enters limp mode and sends error code 3-2 for welded solenoid. doesn't seem a bypass is possible. I also probed the controller(disconnected from cart) with the diode setting on my meter, from J1-6 to b-, and got a reading of .948. which according to a diagnostic post should read .5. is this indicative of a bad LU024N transistor? or could there be other issues occurring? thanks!

The Curtis 1206MX was made exclusively for EZGO and getting board level information is next to impossible, much less component level.

Oh okay, understandable. I did go ahead and test the pins on the transistor and I was getting very strange readings, seems as there is a dead short in it. I'm going to go ahead and replace the lu024n(also known as irlu024npbf) on the board(marked q3 on circuit board) and I will see if I have any good results. Maybe this can help someone in the future to save a couple bucks if they feel like digging into the controller.
