New Wiring Harness
Does anyone make a brand new wiring harness for a 97 Gas DS or is this something that I would have to fab up myself

Re: New Wiring Harness
It's probably still available from Club Car... When I rebuilt Ike after his salt water bath, the wire harness was still available for a 1996 48V DS.. IIRC, it was just north of $200.. I sat down with the old harness and a schematic and made a new one from scratch for less than $100..

Re: New Wiring Harness
CC-JOHN where did you get your schematic at, my harrnes doesn't look very hard and I could probably fab it up in around 4 to 5 hours if I could just have the old one just sitting there

Re: New Wiring Harness
I plunked down the bucks for the factory service manual.. The one for my 1996 has all the schematics for the gas & electric models..
And before you ask... Unfortunately, I don't have a scanner to be able to post a copy.... |

I found these, a manual and a supplement. Get them before I delete them.

Re: New Wiring Harness built with Pics
I built this harness last night in about 3 hours tell me what you think. It is going on a 96 gas club car DS. Thank you Jimmie for the schematics really helped out. I only used one wire (Orange) from the old harness and that was from the fuse block but I ohmed it and it checked out good so all worked out. I have to shave the excess conduit when I put it in the cart just wanted to leave enough so I could make everything pretty when it goes back in. Everything is tie strapped every 6 in. under the conduit for a cleaner apearance I think.
Well Thanks everyone that for the help Corey Oh I priced a harness from club car and $180 and I built this one for $40 but I had all the wire so that saved me $ I only had to change 2 colors of the wires the white and black striped and red and white striped wire everything else is stock colors didn't feel like spending $20 and wait a week to get the striped wires |

Re: New Wiring Harness
Haha Yea I thought about it I haven't heard if anyone else is doing it or not but I'm sure there are people out there that would buy some for older carts that the dealer can't get and even if they can and just want to add some custom touches to a new harness
