dumb move and messed up two parts
while trying to figure out what was wrong with my tunr indicators which have been fixed. I removed the dash and blew the fuse in the solenoid box. In fixing that fuse I undid the choke intake tube and removed the single long phillips head bolt to open the box and changed the fuse. I got sidetracked after that and forgot to close up the solenoid box and replace the choke intake tube on to the air filter housing before driving all over the place.
The tube rubbed against the exhaust pipe and the end melted. I also lost the long phillips head bolt. Does anyoen know the part numbers or where I can get these replaced? Thanks, Jim Happy 4th everyone! |

You have a NAPA parts store nearby Jim ? They should have some flex hose to replace your damaged piece pretty cheaply, just be sure it seals properly at both ends. Regarding the screw, NAPA has a great selection of these also. If you can find a screw that matches the thread take it to the store with you and purchase one of the correct length. If you get stuck I'll pull mine, measure it and get you one in the mail. No btw, I don't work for NAPA but the local store here has been very helpful with such oddities. Chris. |
