Default Brake question

I need to do something about my brakes...since I've upped to 48v I need more stopping power. Has anyone tried the new rear disc braking system shown in this link: http://www.cartpartsplus.com/golf-ca...rake-kits.html ..... or would I be better off just redoing the old drum brakes? Thanks for any responses.

The sale From CPP is below dealer cost.
The disc brakes are more effective than the drums. If you ever thought you might want disc brakes this is the least expensive you will ever find them.

Thanks Scoty...do you have any experience with these...are they that much better? And are they fairly easy to install?

Treyfus,

I have two sets of these on my gas workhorses and there is no comparison between these and the old brakes. Fairly simple to install but you do need at least a 10 inch rim for these to fit. If they are for the cart in your avatar, you should be good to go.

Good Luck

Depending on the 10" wheel, you may still need a spacer. I found that the hard way. My wheels sloped in a little and sat about 1/2" to close. I put in 1" spacers to solve the problem.

They work great and look really cool too. I mounted my calipers on top of the rotor unlike it states to do so in the directions! My kit was purchased from Scottyb at Carts Unlimited.
