Default Which Tacho?

Can anyone tell me which type of tacho to fit to a 2000 ds with standard engine?
Reason for asking is, on e bay (UK), there is a Faria mg 1000 and I was wondering if this would work ok as it would match the Faria fuel gauge I have but no good buying it if it wont work.
Any one know?
Cheers Ian.

It says it's switchable for 4,6 and 8 cylinder.
