Default 96 cc ds gas clutch problems

I have a 96 cc DS gas cart with 6" jakes lift. I replaced the clutch spring with heavy duty spring and notice now that the cart has started "shuttering" on take off. The cart also does not have the power it should have for climbing a hill. Any assistance?

The faces of your clutch are probably worn too much. CC's wear tolerance is .060 If you can take a straight edge and stick a nickel under it , they are shot.
