Re: wrong driven clutch?
The driven clutch spring (or power spring) keeps the driven clutch from opening sooner, which provides more torque at lower speeds,
but, at the same time the 9 1/2 hp engine has to rev high enough so it has the power to move it! Yeah... it's a little confusing, but you'll get it eventually! |

Re: wrong driven clutch?
So lockman, if i put the factory spring back on, what should i see it do? Will the engine rev up more or less at moderate speed. I get more power at higher rpm's correct?

Re: wrong driven clutch?
It could... BUT... first things first!
move the engine back to 9 1/2" center to center, and see if that helps! |

Re: wrong driven clutch?
Ok. I will be able to do that tomorrow. I'll let you know how it goes. I do have a question for you;@3x10.5x12 tires are pretty big for that size of engine, yes?

Re: wrong driven clutch?
It's a good sized tire! (meaning they're just a bit big!) BUT... workable!
Here's my buddies 94 FE290 cart with 23's on it, and it does pretty well up hills! |

Thanks for your patience with me. I'm just trying to think outside the box.

Re: wrong driven clutch?
Thinking outside the box is fine... as long as you don't "over think" it!
Just always try to think... one thing at a time! then... you can work from there! |
