Let us not forget the Run/Tow switch.. Flip to Tow before you do any wiring

Yes, I would think so. and probly totally remove the rear end, so not to work on your back under the cart

Wonder if pulling the run plug under the cup holder wouldn't be a good idea... I don't know.. RXV is a different animal than the DCS/PDS carts

The motor wires on an rxv run into the motor. They are not detachable from the outside of the motor. Easier to remove the motor and set in the bag well leave the brake attached. Make sure the wheels are chalked the cart will roll away. The u bolts and shock bolts are 15mm. I suggest flipping to tow switch.

Thanks for the info. off the top of your head do you know what type of fluid ezgo recommends to put in the rear end?

I've seen them take 80/120 or 80/90

Mobile 424 or check with Tractor Supply for the equivalent hydraulic fluid. I've also heard 85w140 hypoid gear oil or 90w with 3oz limited slip additive. The point is its a limited slip diff.

Ezgo no longer uses the Mobil 424, its too thin. Use GL5 and 3oz friction modifier for posi rears.

85/140 seems way too heavy for a 900lb cart with 5hp. IMO

I've ran fully synthetic straight 30w from Volvo for about a year with no problems. I was told its basically Royal Purple racing motor oil. Anything you can do to to free up HP helps.
