I have 2 more questions that I was wondering if you might have any ideas about. First one is when I switch from forward to reverse sometimes the cart is sluggish until it is shifted between the two a couple of times. Is maybe the drive selector switch not adjusted just right? If you push it to far either way it looses power. The second thing is when I put it on charge today the charger clicked on then off over and over again. Any ideas? I just put batteries in it today. Pretty sure everything hooked up right. Didn't have batteries in it when I got it. Thanks for any help you might have.

Total drive current goes through the contacts on the F/R switch, which is 17 years old unless a previous owner has replaced it.
Cleaning the contacts and tightening the center nut may help, but it probably needs to be replaced.

There are several types of chargers out there and they all act differently. Which charger do you have?

Got the charger figured out.it was just a bad contact between wires. Tightened center nut to see if that helps with f/r switch but haven't got a chance to try it out yet. It's freezing cold here this week and building is to small to really try it out in.

I need to replace the terminal end on one of the bigger wires leaving f/r switch. What size wire is that and can I use one that comes from auto parts store?

Wire size would have to be determined, but I've never found the exact size lug in auto parts stores. 5/16" lug is what you need, and most auto stores only have 3/8", which is a tad too bIg for the lug, reducing the contact surface area.

Would a frayed wire at terminal Margaret slow to take off and new batteries die fast?
