Default Battery Question

I have a 1989 marathon 36 volt which I purchased in October of last year, the cart has been in my driveway since then at least once a month I put a charge on the batteries, question I have that starting this month I am going to strip the cart and clean and paint he battery rack, how should I store the batteries so that they still work in the spring.
Thanks Wilssm

Store them indoors if you can and store them fully charged. If they are going to sit very long you want to charge them periodically.

You can charge 2 6-volt batteries using a 12 volt charger, if you have one........

wilssm......if you are going to strip the cart.....make it easy on yourself and remove the charger receptacle, using your battery cables, hook them back up in series and then just use you regular charger, PIECE OF CAKE.

and DO NOT set the batteries on a concrete floor, First get a cardboard box, lay it out on the floor, then get a few 2 x 4's or whatever you have and place the batteries on them. this way, if any of the batteries leak for any reason your covered, and by placing the batteries off the floor they will have air circulating around them.
