Default TXT Won't Charge after Charging Earlier

Got on the cart today and wanted to see how the upgraded motor and forward reverse switch worked. Drove the cart one loop of the yard and hardly made it back to the garage because the cart was low on juice, unbeknownst to me.

After getting it back, I immediately hooked up the charger and it wouldn't charge. Then all of a sudden, it started charging. After charging for 3+ hours, I disconnected the charger to replace a wire with a newer one on the battery pack and after reconnecting the charger, it isn't charging. I have looked at all the connections and the positive and negative coming out of charger interlock and seems to be fine.

I am at a loss as to what is wrong. Thanks in advance for help.

Had this problem on mine, I cleaned the posts in the charge port. Unhook the pack voltage first.

The cart will run and move with no problem. The charger clicks like it is starting but the amp meter on the charger doesn't move off of zero.

How did you clean the charger post? Sandpaper?

Do they sell a new charger plug kit for your cart?

Borrow a charger from a neighbor to be sure the charger is the problem. Also when you insert charger plug try wiggling it around to see if it makes intermittent connection. Or you can take your charger to your neighbor and try it on his cart.

ScotchBrite, NOT sandpaper.

Make sure you have AC power to the charger.

I have checked all connections and even took every connection, both male and female, and cleaned them really well. It is still not working. The charger clicks and engages but the amp meter never comes off of zero.

I don't have any neighbors with a cart. I am out in the country.

Any other suggestions to try?

One possible solution : You need to measure your pack voltage it's prob drawn down to far so the charger will not engage , you might have to use a 12 volt charger ( if 6 volt config.) to up the pack voltage high enough for charger to engage

It appears you might have a bad charger. You may want open it up and look for loose connection of some other visible problem or take it to town and get it checked out. I believe the click you hear is a relay on a circuit board powered from the carts battery voltage that switches AC to the and transformer rectifiers. It still may have a problem getting AC to the internal circuits (see post #7). Not much more I can think of to keep it simple.
