Default ClubCar Dealers

Does anybody have any idea why Club Car has so few dealers? You see a lot of posts saying "My nearest CC Dealer is 200 miles away" I just checked and mine is 100 miles.

Club Car doesn't "build" dealerships. People build golf car repair shops. Once they've proven that they're for real and are capable of moving large quantities of new and used vehicles plus able to offer a well trained parts and service department, Club Car will authorize them to be an official dealer. The problem with the lack of Club Car dealers is the simple fact that there's a lot of cart shops out there that don't know what they're doing.

Here's an article from our local newspaper about the company I work for becoming an authorized dealership. It happened a year after we opened, and a month after I began working there.

Thanks Tahoe that was interesting. So I guess the LSV business is small part of the business.

LSVs occupied our business for about 3-4 months one year (2009 I think) when the government offered the tax credit for them. After that, we've only sold 2.

There's no sense in spending all of that money for an LSV to be street legal if the cops don't care what you drive on the street. Golf carts work just fine in their true form around here.
