Always set the meter ABOVE what you want to read. In this case set to 200 VDC...... looks to be at 10 oclock on your dial

If you tried to measure amps instead of volts you blew the meter. The amp scale in in the yellow scale between 6:30 and 8:30. Don't use this scale at all unless you are familiar with what you are doing. Make sure you select voltage scales as ScottyB suggested.
